The Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board, has released guidelines on academic activities for the 3rd term for schools in the state.

A statement signed by the Ag. Chairman of the Board, Dame. Grace Akpughunum-Okwulehie, stated “Following a stakeholders meeting with the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku on  April 21, 2020, Principals are hereby directed as follows:

–  That all schools that were not able to conclude their second term examinations before the closure of all schools by his Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State on 23rd March 2020, should use the C.A records to assess their students and conclude everything about 2nd term latest by next week.

“Principals should prepare to register their schools online with the Riv-Emis platform for the ongoing E-learning programme of the State Government.

“Principals should prepare to register their schools online with the Riv-Emis platform for the ongoing E-learning programme of the State Government.

“That schools will re-open online for the 3rd term, on a date that will be announced soon. However, schools will not be re-opened physically.

Let our children stay safe and continue to learn,” the statement noted.
