On Thursday morning, there was pandemonium, as residents of Rukpokwu community in Rivers State, watched helplessly, as a teenager drove two other teenagers to their death.
According to eyewitness account, the keke (Tricycle) driver, who was reportedly in his teens, had picked up a 15-year old girl, whose mother had sent on an errand, before loosing control.
He had allegedly lost control as a result of excess speed and the keke somersaulted several times, leaving the 15 year-old girl and another unidentified girl, believed to be the driver’s girlfriend, dead.
The keke driver was however rushed to an undisclosed hospital in very critical condition.
